自宅をスマートホームにしたい
最近目にすることが多くなってきた「スマートホーム」ですが、聞いたことがあるという人も多いのではないでしょうか。
ところでスマートホームとは何なのでしょうか。ウィキペディアによると”スマートホームとは、IoT(もののインターネット)やAIなどの技術を駆使して、住む人にとってより安全・安心で快適な暮らしを実現する住宅のこと。”とあります。
つまり「家に帰る前にエアコンが部屋を快適な温度にしてくれる」「外出先から玄関ドアの施錠・開錠ができる」など、ＩｏＴ機器で便利な生活ができるようになることのようですが、どのようにすればスマートホームができるのでしょうか。
その前の準備
自宅にいろいろＩｏＴ機器を導入してスマートホームにするぞと意気込んでみても、ます何をすればいいのかよくわからないという人も多いはず。
スマートホームのイメージって声で照明をON・OFFしたり、朝おはようって言ったらカーテンが開くみたいな感じですが、その前に準備することはないのでしょうか。
スマートホームのまず大前提として”家にWi-Fiがあること”というのがあります。Wi-Fiとはルーターから電波が飛び、その電波をキャッチしてインターネットにつなげるという方法です。
そのためには自宅に光回線を引いてプロバイダー契約し、家でインターネットができるというところまでして、さらにWi-Fiルーターを設置してやっと”家にWi-Fiがある”という状態になります。まだまだ先は長そうですね。
